Having a child with dyslexia or learning disabilities can be a confusing, frustrating and heartbreaking process to go through. Our mom friends who have “normal” learners usually just don’t get it. We need to talk to others who have been there and who are going through the same thing. We need to share stories, ask questions, complain and cry!
Our support groups are meant to be a time when we can just be together with moms who understand. No judgement, just open ears and arms and hopefully some laughs and new friends along the way.
Our upcoming groups will be from 6pm-8pm on March 27, April 24, and May 22.
Provide your child with a community of mentors and new found friends they may not be getting a school.
Wishes of Literacy isn't just empowering our youth to be self-advocates, were teaching young dyslexic minds that some of the worlds greatest innovators think and learn just like them. Outside the box.
Whether your child is struggling with blending, fluency or comprehension, our team of professional and screened mentors not only offer empathy and support to regain the confidence your child deserves- but each has lived in their shoes, having dyslexia and learning disabilities themselves.
When your child or teen attends our support groups it opens the door to a unique, interactive experience that allows them to express themselves while zeroing in on their favorite skills and hobbies like art, video games, and new age concepts- with personal mentors by their side.
Each 8 week group will conclude in a showcase of their skills and talents raising awareness and funds for groups to come.
Our group orientation will held on April 29, 2017
